6.6 kW solar: explore the numbers.
Build your own cost and generation scenario. System size must be assessed against your roof and usage.
Build a planning range.
Illustrative model v1 — not researched Australian market prices. Replace the example rate with a real written quote. No rebate is assumed.
State does not change this model. Network, roof access, wiring, removal and switchboard work need separate quotes.

Putting a 6.6 kW scenario into context
A 6.6 kW array represents 6600 watts of nominal panel capacity. For an illustrative 440-watt panel, rounding up gives 15 panels and 6.6 kW of panel capacity. This is arithmetic for planning, not a roof design or recommended equipment specification.
What to enter in the 6.6 kW models
- Your own installed-price quote, with exclusions and any incentives identified.
- Your tariff, export rate and expected daytime consumption.
- A site-specific generation assumption supplied with the design.
- Future heating, cooling, battery or vehicle charging loads where relevant.
Is 6.6 kW the right size for my property?
The calculator cannot establish that. Ask a designer to assess usable roof space, shading, consumption timing and connection conditions. The panel example above does not account for setbacks, walkways or roof structure.
Why can two 6.6 kW quotes differ?
Panel and inverter models, roof access, electrical upgrades, monitoring, warranties and labour scope can differ even when nominal capacity matches. Compare those line items before treating a lower total as better value.
